Frequently Asked Questions
What level are the podcasts for?
The Intermediate Edition suits B1–B2 learners. The Advanced Edition is aimed at B2-C1 listeners who already understand a lot of everyday English, and appreciate an accurate transcript and explanation of difficult words/phrases to help them make the jump to totally native-level content.
Are the transcripts and flashcards free?
Yes! You can read along with the transcript and review new words with the flashcards completely free.
Are the podcasts only useful for those aiming to learn British English?
Not at all. Although Oliver is from the UK, and César has become British, the content is useful for all English learners. We often flag specifically British terms and idioms and compare them to their American equivalents. Each episode includes clear explanations of cultural references, idioms and pronunciation, so learners anywhere can follow easily.
How often are new episodes released?
Both the Intermediate and Advanced podcasts are released weekly - the Intermediate should come out each Monday and the Advanced podcast each Thursday, but Oliver's procrastination skills are legendary, so an episode could be a couple of days late! 😬
